The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), in coordination with its P3 Delhi, RO Kolkata, and NH West Bengal PWD-Birbhum divisions, has floated a tender for the repair and rehabilitation of existing distressed bridges on National Highway 60 (New NH 14). The initiative is a part of MoRTH’s 2024–2025 plan to improve critical road infrastructure in Birbhum district, West Bengal.
This tender falls under Package-3, which includes the rehabilitation of three significant bridges: Bakreswar Bridge located at km 322.550, Bramhoni Bridge at km 398.450, and Gambhira Bridge at km 418.918. These bridges have shown signs of structural stress and require timely intervention to ensure uninterrupted and safe vehicular movement.
The financial bid for the project was opened on February 18, 2025, by the concerned authorities. After thorough evaluation, Sanrachana Structural Strengthening Pvt. Ltd. emerged as the lowest bidder, securing the contract for the execution of the works.
The project is valued at approximately INR 29.08 crore(290878387) and will be carried out under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode, which emphasizes efficient project delivery and accountability.
