The Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) invited a tender for the widening and strengthening of Sagarpuri Road along the high-tension line from Hamirpur Road (Kanpur–Sagar Highway) in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The project aims to improve the capacity, condition and overall connectivity of the road corridor.
The scope of work includes widening of the existing roadway, strengthening of the pavement, improvement of damaged road sections, drainage arrangements, road safety measures and other allied civil works. The development is expected to improve traffic movement and provide smoother and safer connectivity for commuters in the surrounding areas.
According to the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 22 June 2026 by the Kanpur Development Authority. Following evaluation of the bids submitted by participating contractors, Sharma Construction Project Pvt. Ltd. emerged as the bidder quoting the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 159,147,885. Once completed, the widening and strengthening work is expected to enhance road capacity, improve riding quality and support better transportation connectivity along the Sagarpuri Road corridor.
