The Public Works Department (PWD) – Roads and Bridges, under the Bhopal CE Bridge Zone, has floated a tender for the construction of a Railway Over Bridge (ROB) at Level Crossing No. 79 near Morwani, Ratlam Station. The proposed location for this project is at 647/1-3 GDA-Ratlam under the jurisdiction of Western Railway, in Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh.
This vital infrastructure initiative aims to ease traffic congestion, improve road safety, and enhance connectivity by replacing the existing level crossing with a modern overpass. The project also includes essential works such as the shifting of electrical poles to facilitate smooth execution and timely completion.
The financial bid for the tender was opened on 11th February 2025. M/s Ramprakash Gupta quoted the lowest bid, emerging as the leading contender for project execution. The estimated cost of the project is approximately ₹18.84 crore (Rs. 18,84,62,095.20).
This development marks a significant step by PWD towards strengthening transportation infrastructure in the region, promoting safer and faster transit over railway tracks, and contributing to the overall growth and modernization of Ratlam’s road network.
