The Public Works Region – Aurangabad, in coordination with the Public Works Circle – Nanded and the Public Works Division – Bhokar, has invited a tender for a critical road improvement project in the Nanded district of Maharashtra. The project aims to enhance the Sahastrakund–Islapur–Hudi–Chikhli–Apparaopeth to Telangana Border stretch along State Highway-465, covering select sections between Km 0/00 to 4/500, 10/00 to 14/00, and 18/00 to 22/00 in Taluka Kinwat.
The project is being undertaken under the Central Road Fund (CRF) scheme and is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity between Maharashtra and Telangana. These road segments are vital for facilitating smoother transportation, reducing travel time, and promoting economic activities in the border regions.
The financial bid for this tender was officially opened on 16th May 2025, drawing attention from multiple infrastructure contractors. The strong response reflects the importance of this cross-state road corridor and the growing need for rural-urban linkage development.
After careful evaluation, Shri Vishal Construction was declared the lowest bidder for the project. The total estimated cost stands at ₹19,94,82,612.80, demonstrating a substantial public investment in strengthening Maharashtra’s state highway network and enhancing border connectivity.
