The Engineer-in-Chief (EIC-Civil) has invited a tender for a vital infrastructure development project aimed at improving regional connectivity in Bargarh district, Odisha. The project involves the widening and strengthening of the Godbhaga–Turum road, covering a length from Km 0/000 to Km 20/000, under the State Plan scheme.
This stretch plays a crucial role in connecting semi-urban and rural areas, facilitating better access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities. The improvement work will enhance the road’s durability, traffic handling capacity, and safety standards, benefiting thousands of daily commuters and freight carriers in the region.
The financial bid for the project was opened on 3rd May 2025, attracting several capable construction firms. This reflects growing industry interest in Odisha’s infrastructure development initiatives, especially in improving transportation corridors in underserved districts.
After a competitive evaluation process, Rahul Mishra emerged as the lowest bidder, qualifying to execute the roadwork. The total estimated value of the project stands at ₹23,91,15,249, highlighting the government’s sustained efforts to upgrade road infrastructure and boost economic growth in western Odisha.
