The Directorate General Border Roads Organisation (BRO), through HQ CE (P) Chetak, Bikaner, has invited a tender for major surfacing works on the Pithewala–Kalibuli–Bahla road under the jurisdiction of 96 RCC/45 TF. The project is designed to improve road durability, riding quality, and overall connectivity in the region.
The scope of work involves providing and laying Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) of 7.5 cm thickness, Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM) of 6.00 cm thickness, and Bituminous Concrete (BC) of 4.00 cm thickness. Along with surfacing, the project includes cleaning of the road surface, applying prime and tack coat, and executing road marking of 2.5 mm thickness, ensuring adherence to high construction and safety standards.
The works will cover the stretch from Km 0 to Km 30, enhancing a critical section of the Pithewala–Kalibuli–Bahla road. Once completed, the strengthened road will reduce maintenance needs, improve traffic flow, and provide safer passage for both civilian and defense movement in the region.
The financial bid was opened on 20th August 2025, with Om Prakash Jain and Company quoting the minimum value. The estimated project cost is ₹14,51,41,005, underlining the scale of investment for this infrastructure development.
