The Haryana Government, through the Engineer-in-Chief, PW (B & R) Department, SE Karnal, and EE PD-1 Karnal, has invited a tender for the Strengthening of the Karnal–Ramba–Indri–Ladwa Road (Road ID 7169, SH-07) in Indri Constituency, Karnal District. The project covers Km 0.00 to Km 20.500 under the Work Programme for 2025–26, aiming to improve road durability, traffic safety, and riding comfort along this vital regional corridor.
The proposed strengthening work includes laying 60mm Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM), 40mm Bituminous Concrete (BC), and 80mm interlocking paver blocks in designated sections. These upgrades are intended to provide a stronger road surface, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance long-term performance under increasing traffic pressure. The works also involve surface preparation, compaction, edge protection, and related finishing activities in compliance with PWD standards.
The improved stretch will benefit local residents, agricultural transporters, and daily commuters by ensuring smoother connectivity between Karnal, Indri, and Ladwa. The project will also play a key role in strengthening regional infrastructure, boosting economic mobility, and supporting the Haryana Government’s ongoing rural-urban connectivity initiatives.
The financial bid was opened on 14th October 2025, with Mahender Singh Contractor quoting the lowest bid value. The total project cost is Rs. 27,94,14,303.4, marking a major step toward enhancing the district’s road infrastructure.
