M/S Unique Builders Got A Project:Construction of new high level bridge on upstream side

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through its regional offices including P6 Delhi, RO Mumbai, and NH Maharashtra PWD-Solapur, has invited a tender for the construction of a new high-level bridge. This bridge is to be constructed on the upstream side of the existing Ahilya Bridge, which spans the Bhima River. The project is a crucial step towards improving regional transportation and ensuring uninterrupted connectivity across the river.
The proposed bridge will be constructed at Chainage 37.686, with a total length of 365.00 meters. It is designed to accommodate modern traffic requirements and offer a more reliable and durable alternative to the existing structure. This infrastructure development falls under MoRTH’s continuous efforts to strengthen the national highway network across Maharashtra.
Along with the bridge construction, necessary approaches and support infrastructure will be developed to ensure seamless integration with existing roadways. The new structure is expected to reduce traffic load on the current bridge and enhance safety, especially during monsoons when water levels in the Bhima River tend to rise significantly.
The financial bid for this project was opened on April 29, 2025. M/S Unique Builders submitted the lowest bid and emerged as the L1 contractor. The estimated value of the project stands at ₹47,43,69,001.
