The Directorate of Town and Country Planning, under the Ujjain Development Authority (UDA), invited a tender for the construction of a CC road from Kartik Mela Ground to Nayi Khedi Road along the Sinhasth Bypass. This project is part of Ujjain’s ongoing urban development initiatives aimed at strengthening road infrastructure and enhancing connectivity in key areas of the city, especially routes associated with large-scale public gatherings and religious events.
The construction of this cement concrete (CC) road will ensure durability, reduce maintenance costs, and provide improved access for commuters and pilgrims alike. As Ujjain hosts major festivals such as the Kumbh (Sinhasth) Mela, this upgraded route is expected to facilitate smoother traffic flow and enhance public convenience during high footfall periods. The project also aligns with the authority’s efforts to modernize city infrastructure with sustainable and long-lasting road surfaces.
The financial bid for the project was opened on 12th September 2025 by the Ujjain Development Authority, where M/s Pragati India Construction Company emerged as the lowest bidder. The total estimated value of the project is ₹22,17,88,195.8 (₹22.17 crore).
