The Public Works Department (PWD) – Roads and Bridges, under the Chief Engineer, Sagar Zone, invited a tender for the construction of the road from Shakti Ki Madiya to Raneh Fall Road in Khajuraho. This project aims to enhance road infrastructure in the heritage region of Khajuraho, improving accessibility to major tourist destinations while supporting regional connectivity and economic development.
The proposed road will serve as a vital link for local residents and tourists visiting Raneh Falls and the historic temples of Khajuraho. The construction will ensure better surface quality, durability, and safer transportation routes. This initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to strengthen tourism-linked infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh, thereby fostering improved mobility and boosting local trade and tourism activities.
The financial bid for the project was opened on 10th September 2025 by the PWD – Roads and Bridges, Sagar Zone, where M/s Arjun Singh Contractor and Supplier emerged as the lowest bidder. The total project value stands at ₹13,98,44,238.9 (₹13.98 crore).
