The Public Works Department (PWD) – Roads and Bridges, under the Chief Engineer, Central Zone, Jabalpur, has invited a tender for the construction of the Tikariya–Singodha–Patha–Chutka Road, covering a total length of 28.86 km, including associated electrification works. This project marks the first call under the department’s 2025 infrastructure development plan aimed at enhancing road connectivity in the region.
The initiative seeks to improve regional transportation efficiency and support local economic growth by establishing a modern, durable roadway network. The inclusion of electrification works ensures better road safety and extended operational hours, particularly in rural and semi-urban stretches along the route.
The tender process was conducted under the supervision of PWD – Roads and Bridges, Jabalpur CE Central Zone, adhering to government procurement norms and quality standards. The financial bid opening took place in 2025, attracting multiple competitive bidders from across the state.
After evaluation, Ravi Shankar Jaiswal quoted the lowest bid, securing the project with a total estimated value of ₹90,49,25,257.5. The project is expected to begin shortly following official approval and issuance of the work order.
