The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through P1 Delhi, its Regional Office Dehradun, and the NH Uttarakhand PWD (NH Section, Dehradun), has invited a tender for a Performance Based Maintenance Contract (PBMC). The project covers the maintenance of NH-334A from chainage Ch. 15.000 to Ch. 61.500, with a total stretch of 46.500 km in the state of Uttarakhand.
The PBMC approach ensures that the contractor maintains the highway to specified service levels, focusing on durability, safety, and reduced maintenance disruptions. This model is particularly important for Uttarakhand, where hilly terrain and challenging weather often impact road quality, necessitating consistent upkeep to ensure smooth movement of traffic.
The financial bid for this tender was opened on 29th July 2025 by MoRTH and Uttarakhand PWD authorities. Among the bidders, the minimum value was quoted by M/S Doon Infrastructure, making them the potential lowest bidder for this PBMC contract.
Improved road maintenance under this project will play a vital role in enhancing regional connectivity, supporting tourism, and ensuring safer and more efficient travel for commuters along this crucial route.
