The Public Works Department (PWD), Maharashtra, under the Public Works Region Nashik, Public Works Circle Jalgaon and Public Works Division Jalgaon, invited a tender for the strengthening and STBT (Semi Dense Bituminous Macadam/Surface Treatment) work on Jalgaon–Mohadi–Dhanora–Shirsoli–Dapore–Lamanjan–Mhasawad–Dahigaon–Varsale Road (MDR-39) in Jalgaon district.
The project covers two road sections: Km 23/200 to Km 26/200 (Mhasawad to Bornar) and Km 6/500 to Km 12/500 (Nagziri to Dapora). The work is aimed at improving the structural condition and riding quality of the existing road and providing safer and smoother connectivity for local traffic.
The scope of work includes strengthening of the existing pavement, STBT surfacing, improvement of damaged road sections, drainage-related works, road safety measures, and other allied civil works. The project will help improve transportation connectivity across the rural and semi-urban areas of Jalgaon district.
According to the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 10 June 2026 by the Maharashtra Public Works Department. Following evaluation of the bids, L.H. Patil Const Pvt. Ltd., Jalgaon emerged as the bidder quoting the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 26,525,909.87. Once completed, the road strengthening and STBT works are expected to improve riding quality, reduce maintenance requirements, and provide safer and more reliable connectivity in Jalgaon district.
