The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through P1 Delhi, RO Chandigarh, and the NH Division–Rohtak, has invited a tender for the Construction of a 6-lane VUP (Vehicular Underpass) at the junction of NH-148B (4-Lane) and NH-709E (4-Lane) on the Bhiwani Bypass in Bhiwani district. This junction is a critical traffic node, and the proposed VUP aims to decongest the intersection, streamline vehicular movement, and enhance road safety along this busy national highway corridor.
The project involves constructing a structurally robust 6-lane underpass with reinforced concrete components, approach ramps, retaining structures, drainage facilities, and safety installations. The design focuses on enabling free-flow traffic across the bypass, reducing conflict points, and improving connectivity between major routes. Once implemented, the VUP will significantly cut travel delays, support heavy vehicle movement, and improve overall mobility in the Bhiwani region.
The financial bid opening is scheduled for 15th September 2025, under the supervision of MoRTH’s Delhi, Chandigarh, and Rohtak offices. During financial evaluation, Krishan Kumar Contractor emerged as the bidder with the minimum quoted value, meeting all competitive and financial norms of the ministry.
The total project value is ₹270,100,000, marking a substantial infrastructure investment aimed at modernizing highway junction design and enhancing traffic efficiency in Bhiwani district.
