The Public Works Region, Aurangabad, through the Public Works Circle and Public Works Division, Aurangabad, has invited a tender for the construction of a major bridge on the Kolibodkha–Nandar–Aktatwada–Chanakwadi–Telwadi–Ghari MDR-132 road. The proposed bridge will be constructed at Km 28/800, extending up to Chanakwadi village, and will serve as a Palkhi Marg across the Godavari River in Taluka Paithan.
This bridge is of high regional and cultural importance, as it lies on a key pilgrimage route frequently used during Palkhi processions. In addition to improving religious and cultural movement, the bridge will strengthen year-round connectivity for local residents, agricultural transport, and emergency services across the river corridor.
The financial bid for the tender opened on 14th October 2025, under the supervision of the PWD authorities of the Aurangabad Region. Given the project’s scale, river-crossing complexity, and socio-cultural significance, it attracted participation from capable infrastructure contractors. After evaluation of bids, K H Construction emerged as the lowest bidder.
The project carries an estimated value of Rs. 218,813,338, representing a substantial investment in rural connectivity and pilgrimage infrastructure. Upon completion, the bridge will enhance safety, ensure uninterrupted access during monsoon seasons, and support long-term development in Paithan taluka.
