GDS INFRASTRUCTURE Got A Project: Strengthening works by BM and BC in SH-60 PD

The Public Works Department (PWD), 3rd Circle Pithoragarh, has invited a major tender focusing on the strengthening of key regional highways in Uttarakhand. The project covers Strengthening works using Bituminous Macadam (BM) and Bituminous Concrete (BC) on two critical routes under the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF), aiming to improve road safety, riding quality, and overall connectivity.
The first stretch under this tender includes SH-60 from Thal to Satsiling, covering a total length of 49.40 km. This route holds significant importance for inter-district transportation and supports local economic activities. The second stretch includes SH-11, covering the Thal–Tejam section from Km 152.00 to Km 173.500, adding another 21.50 km to the project scope. The combined strengthening work is expected to facilitate smoother vehicular movement across hilly terrain.
The financial bid for this project was opened on 23 October 2025 by PWD, 3rd Circle Pithoragarh. Among the bidders, GDS INFRASTRUCTURE emerged as the lowest bidder, qualifying for the award of the contract as per departmental norms and competitive criteria.
The total estimated project value is Rs. 46,59,50,979.5, making it a significant investment in regional road improvement. Once completed, the project is expected to boost connectivity, reduce travel time, and support socio-economic development across the Pithoragarh region.
