The Public Works Department (PWD), under the Chief Engineer (CE) and Additional Secretary (AS), along with the Additional Chief Engineer (ACE) Jodhpur and the Superintending Engineer (SE) Jodhpur, has invited a tender for the widening and strengthening of the Soyala–Osian Road. The project covers the stretch from Km 0/0 to Km 51/0, forming an important transportation link in Rajasthan’s road network.
The initiative is aimed at upgrading the road’s capacity and structural strength to handle growing traffic volumes. Once completed, the project will enhance safety, reduce travel time, and improve connectivity for commuters, traders, and transport operators in the region. This route also holds significance for tourism and regional trade, linking key settlements with major highways.
The financial bid for the tender was opened on 4th July 2025. The process attracted competitive participation from experienced contractors specializing in road development and rehabilitation works.
The lowest quoted bid was submitted by B P Choudhary Construction Company, ensuring cost-effective execution while meeting the required technical and quality benchmarks set by the department.
With a total estimated cost of ₹439,361,113, the project is a major investment in regional infrastructure, contributing to the state’s long-term development objectives.
