The Road Construction Department Jharkhand under the offices of the Engineer in Chief RCD and Chief Engineer Communication RCD invited a tender for the Harinchara More to Barhait IRQP Project. The project involves Improvement of Riding Quality Programme (IRQP) work for the road stretch from Harinchara More (SH-18) to Barhait (MDR-211) from Km 0.00 to 23.60 and the Kherwa–Shivgadi Link Road from Km 0.00 to 3.60, with a combined total length of 27.20 km under Road Division, Sahibganj for the year 2025–26.
The scope of work includes strengthening and resurfacing of the roadway, pavement rehabilitation, repair of damaged stretches, and allied civil works such as drainage improvement and road safety measures. The project is aimed at improving riding comfort, enhancing road durability, and ensuring smoother transportation in the Sahibganj region.
As per the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 10 April 2026 by the RCD authorities. After evaluation of bids submitted by participating contractors, Chitra Construction emerged as the bidder quoting the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 191,125,051.76, reflecting a focused investment in road maintenance and infrastructure improvement. Upon completion, the upgraded roads will improve connectivity, reduce travel difficulties, and support regional development in Sahibganj district.
