The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through its P3 Delhi division in coordination with the Regional Office (RO) Kolkata and NH West Bengal PWD-Kolkata Directorate, has floated a vital tender for road maintenance in West Bengal. The project focuses on enhancing the operational efficiency and longevity of a key stretch along NH-112, previously known as NH-35.
This Performance-Based Maintenance Contract (PBMC) covers a total length of 59.60 kilometers, extending from Km 0.000 to Km 59.600. The specified stretch falls under NH Division No. V in the North 24 Parganas district. This highway is a major corridor connecting critical urban and semi-urban regions in northern West Bengal, playing a crucial role in regional mobility and trade logistics.
Under the PBMC model, the contractor is responsible not only for immediate improvement but also for the long-term maintenance of the road infrastructure. The aim is to ensure consistent service quality, better safety features, and smoother traffic flow over the entire duration of the contract.
The financial bid for the project was opened on 10th June 2025. BLACKSTONE emerged as the lowest bidder for the work. The total estimated value of this highway maintenance project is ₹433586514.4.
