The Public Works Region – Aurangabad, in collaboration with the Public Works Circle Nanded and the Public Works Division Bhokar, has floated a tender for the improvement of a key road corridor in Nanded district. The project focuses on upgrading the Balhall–Makni–Ambulgaon–Lingapur–Bhayegaon–Degloor stretch along Major District Road 70 (MDR-70), covering a total length from Km 0/00 to Km 21/00, situated in Taluka Mukhed.
This road serves as a crucial regional link that facilitates movement between rural settlements and the Degloor town, improving access to markets, educational institutions, and healthcare services. The improvement initiative aims to enhance road safety, driving comfort, and overall infrastructure durability in this part of Maharashtra.
The financial bid for this project was officially opened on 19th May 2025, drawing interest from multiple infrastructure contractors due to the strategic importance of the route. The bidding process reflects the state’s proactive push towards rural connectivity and infrastructure upgrades.
After thorough evaluation, M/s B. R. Ande Construction Company emerged as the lowest bidder, qualifying to undertake the project. The total estimated project cost stands at ₹19,13,16,277.7, highlighting a significant investment in road development under the state’s infrastructure advancement plans.
