The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through its P7 Delhi office, has floated a vital tender aimed at enhancing regional connectivity in Kerala. The project is being undertaken in collaboration with RO Thiruvananthapuram and NH Kerala PWD-Kochi.
This tender pertains to the CRIF-funded construction of the Thadiyanpadu Bridge across the Periyar River. The proposed bridge will connect National Highway 185 (NH-185) with a State Road (MDR) in the Idukki district, a region known for its challenging terrain and strategic importance.
The project falls under the category of general civil work and is intended to improve access and mobility between highland and lowland areas of the district. The construction of this bridge is expected to boost transport efficiency and support socio-economic development in the area.
