The Directorate of Urban Administration and Development (UAD), in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation of Ujjain and its Engineering (PWD) Department, has invited a tender for a major road infrastructure project. The work involves road widening from V.D. Cloth Market to Choti Puliya, a key route in Ujjain known for heavy traffic and commercial activity.
This project is part of Ujjain’s broader urban development plan to enhance road safety, reduce congestion, and improve overall connectivity within the city. Once completed, the widened road will significantly ease vehicular movement in one of the busiest stretches.
The financial bid for this project was opened on February 28, 2025. Several construction firms participated in the bidding process, highlighting strong interest in the city’s infrastructure growth.
BELIFE Buildcon Private Limited quoted the minimum bid and is expected to lead the execution. The project is valued at approximately ₹21.44 crore, reflecting a major investment in Ujjain’s urban upgrade.
