The Public Works Department (PWD) – Chief Engineer & Additional Secretary (CE & AS), along with ACE Jodhpur and SE Jodhpur, has invited a tender for the widening and strengthening of Major District Road (MDR-413). The project covers the Sirval–Bhimana–Danwarli–Bijapur–Balwana–Jawaibandh–Sumerpur road, an important corridor that supports regional mobility and inter-village connectivity in the Jodhpur region.
The scope of work includes road widening and structural strengthening from Km 42/00 to Km 60/00 and Km 77/0 to Km 79/0, addressing critical stretches that experience regular traffic movement. The proposed upgradation is aimed at improving pavement strength, enhancing riding comfort, and ensuring safer travel conditions for both commercial and local traffic. Once completed, the project is expected to significantly reduce travel time and improve transport efficiency.
Issued under the supervision of PWD – CE & AS, ACE Jodhpur, and SE Jodhpur, the tender reflects the department’s commitment to strengthening the Major District Road network. The project forms part of the broader infrastructure development strategy to improve road durability and accommodate increasing vehicular loads in the region.
The financial bid for the tender was opened on 1st October 2025. The minimum quoted bid was submitted by BABA Contractor and Engineers, with the total project cost amounting to ₹275,616,971.4, highlighting a substantial public investment in regional road infrastructure.
