The Road Construction Department (RCD), Jharkhand, under RCD EinC and RCD Chief Engineer Communication, invited a tender for the widening and strengthening of the Bakutoli–Kurkura Road.
The project involves widening the existing road and strengthening its pavement to improve its carrying capacity, riding quality, and overall durability. The scope of work also includes necessary drainage improvements, road safety measures, and other allied civil works required for the development of the corridor. The project is aimed at improving connectivity, facilitating smoother traffic movement, and supporting the transportation needs of the surrounding areas.
As per the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 10 June 2026 by the RCD authorities. Following evaluation of the bids submitted by participating contractors, M/s Vinod Kumar Jain emerged as the bidder quoting the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 1,199,826,794, making it a major road infrastructure investment. Upon completion, the upgraded Bakutoli–Kurkura Road is expected to provide better connectivity, improve travel efficiency, and strengthen the regional road network.
