Bijoy Buildcons Pvt. Ltd. Got A project: Renovation of Petanalla from RD 00 m to 2700m with structures including balance work

The Chief Engineer Drainage Cuttack through the Superintending Engineer Drainage Cuttack invited a tender for the Petanalla Renovation Phase I Reach I Project. The project involves the renovation of Petanalla from RD 0 m to RD 2700 m, including associated structures and the balance work of Phase-I (Reach-I), covering the stretch from RD 1930 m (Krusaka Bazar Bridge) to RD 2700 m (Bidanasi Bridge) in Cuttack City, Odisha.
The scope of work includes renovation and strengthening of the drainage channel, construction and rehabilitation of associated hydraulic structures, desilting, embankment protection, improvement of stormwater flow, and other allied civil works. The project is intended to enhance the drainage capacity of Petanalla, reduce the risk of urban flooding and waterlogging, and improve the overall stormwater management system in Cuttack City.
As per the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 7 May 2026 by the Chief Engineer, Drainage, Cuttack. Following evaluation of the bids submitted by participating contractors, Bijoy Buildcons Pvt. Ltd. emerged as the bidder quoting the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 249,608,936.7, reflecting a significant investment in urban drainage infrastructure. Upon completion, the project will improve stormwater discharge, strengthen the drainage network, and help mitigate flooding in the Bidanasi and surrounding areas of Cuttack City.
