Sri Ram Enterprises Got A Project: Widening, Strengthening and Reconstruction work of Karmatand

The Road Construction Department (RCD), under the authority of the Engineer-in-Chief (EinC) and Chief Engineer (Commercial), has invited a tender for the widening, strengthening, and reconstruction work of the Karmatand to Jural Road. The project covers the stretch from Karmatand (on Mohanpur–Karmatand RCD Road) to Jural (on SH-18), with a total length of 12.706 km, under the Road Division, Sahibganj, for the financial year 2025–26.
This road is an important regional link connecting interior areas with State Highway-18, facilitating the movement of passengers, agricultural produce, and commercial goods. The proposed widening and strengthening works will enhance the structural capacity of the road, improve riding quality, and ensure safer and more efficient traffic flow. Reconstruction of the existing pavement will also support increased traffic demand and long-term durability.
The financial bid for the tender was opened on 19th December 2025 by RCD under EinC and CE (Commercial). After evaluation of the bids, Sri Ram Enterprises emerged as the lowest bidder, quoting the minimum value for execution of the project. The tender process was conducted in accordance with prescribed procurement guidelines to maintain transparency and competitiveness.
The total project cost is Rs. 649,478,971.5, representing a substantial investment in road infrastructure development in Sahibganj district. Upon completion, the project is expected to significantly improve regional connectivity, reduce travel time, and contribute to economic growth and infrastructure strengthening in the area.
