The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through its NER and SARDP-NE division, RO Guwahati and National Highway Assam PWD-Guwahati, invited a tender for the strengthening of the existing NH-215 from Km 266.640 (Old Chainage Km 0.000) at Kanubari to Km 330.040 (Old Chainage Km 63.400) at Borbaruah in Assam.
The project covers a total road length of 63.4 km and has been taken up under the Annual Plan 2025-26. The work is aimed at strengthening the existing highway pavement and improving its overall condition and riding quality. The scope includes pavement strengthening, improvement of damaged road sections, drainage and road safety works, and other allied highway improvement activities.
According to the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 19 June 2026 by MoRTH. Following evaluation of the bids, Shyama Construction quoted the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 278,309,090. Once completed, the strengthening work is expected to improve the durability and riding quality of the 63.4-km highway section and provide more reliable connectivity between Kanubari and Borbaruah.
