The Chief Engineer PWD Central Zone, Lucknow, in coordination with S.E. UPPWD Lucknow and the Provincial Division, Lucknow, invited a tender for the Widening and Strengthening of the access road to the upcoming Kukrail Night Safari and Zoo. The project focuses on transforming the existing Faridnagar-Gudamba Road into a four-lane stretch across Km 1 to 4.800, enhancing the road link from Kursi Road to the Night Safari main entrance.
This road upgrade is a pivotal infrastructure component for the Kukrail Night Safari, which is set to become a major tourism and wildlife attraction in Uttar Pradesh. The project aims to improve traffic flow, ensure visitor convenience, and accommodate future increases in vehicular movement due to expected tourist influx.
The financial bid for the project was opened on 3rd May 2025, drawing competitive participation. Following the bid evaluation process, Shakuntala Singh emerged as the lowest bidder, qualifying for the contract to execute the planned development work.
The total project cost is estimated at ₹27,56,42,900, marking a significant public investment aimed at boosting eco-tourism, improving regional connectivity, and supporting the state’s long-term infrastructure roadmap.
