S.S. Builders Got A Project: Construction of bridge on Solani river

The Public Works Department (PWD), along with the Superintending Engineer, PWD Circle Haridwar, has invited a tender for the Construction of a bridge on the Solani River at Km 9 (Chainage 8.10) on the stretch from Roorkee to Reliance Petrol Pump Mangalore to Core College Road (Old NH-58). This project is being undertaken under the CRIF (Central Road & Infrastructure Fund) scheme, aimed at strengthening regional infrastructure and enhancing safety across key traffic corridors in Haridwar district.
The proposed bridge is designed to improve connectivity over the Solani River, which currently poses a critical barrier during monsoon and high-flow periods. The project includes construction of the bridge foundation, substructure, superstructure, approach roads, protective works, and essential safety measures. When completed, the bridge will enhance mobility for commuters, ensure smoother linkage to educational institutions such as Core College, and support the flow of commercial and local traffic.
The financial bid opening is scheduled for 2nd September 2025, under the supervision of PWD and SE PWD Circle Haridwar. During the bid evaluation, S.S. Builders emerged as the bidder with the minimum quoted value, meeting all financial and competitive criteria of the tendering process.
The total project value stands at ₹310,000,000, marking a major investment toward improving transport efficiency and strengthening the Old NH-58 corridor. This bridge will play an essential role in regional development and safer road connectivity.
