The Chief Engineer, Devipatan (Gonda) Zone, PWD Gonda, along with the Superintending Engineer, Gonda Circle, has invited a tender for the Widening and Strengthening of the Kodari–Mathura–Chaudharydeeh Road from Chainage 0.00 to 16.00 km. This corridor is an essential regional route, connecting multiple rural settlements to nearby markets, service centres, and district-level facilities. Upgrading the stretch is a major step toward improving mobility and ensuring safer, faster transportation for daily commuters and freight movement.
The project includes widening narrow stretches, strengthening the existing pavement, enhancing the road surface, and improving overall riding quality. Additional works involve drainage development, shoulder construction, culvert repairs, and installation of safety infrastructure such as signage and edge markings. Once completed, the upgraded link will significantly boost rural connectivity, reduce travel time, and support agricultural and commercial logistics across the region.
The financial bid opening was scheduled for 24th September 2025 (as per tender details), supervised by the Chief Engineer, Devipatan Zone, and SE Gonda Circle. The tender attracted multiple bidders owing to its importance for the district’s road network and the direct benefit it provides to several Gram Panchayats and local communities.
Among all bidders, Pawan Kumar Singh emerged as the lowest quoted bidder, securing the tender with the minimum value bid. The total sanctioned cost of the project stands at ₹26,67,49,171, marking a significant infrastructure investment for enhancing regional road quality and long-term connectivity.
