The Haryana Government, through the Engineer-in-Chief, Public Works (B&R) Department, along with the Superintending Engineer, Kaithal, and the Executive Engineer, Jind, has invited a tender for the widening and strengthening of the Safidon to Jind Road (State Highway-14). This vital corridor in Jind district plays a crucial role in supporting regional connectivity, local transportation, and movement of agricultural goods across Haryana.
The project is being undertaken under the CRIF Scheme, which focuses on improving critical road infrastructure to enhance safety, capacity, and long-term durability. The Safidon–Jind stretch is an important inter-district link, and its upgradation is expected to reduce travel time, improve traffic handling, and support economic activities for surrounding rural and urban settlements.
The financial bid for this tender opened on 18th October 2025 under the supervision of the PWD (B&R) authorities. Owing to the significance of the corridor, the tender attracted participation from experienced contractors capable of executing large-scale road improvement works. After thorough evaluation of the bids received, Mehta Construction Co. emerged as the lowest quoting contractor.
The project carries a total estimated value of Rs. 570,379,542.7, marking a substantial investment in Haryana’s road network. Once completed, the widened and strengthened SH-14 section will enhance mobility, improve safety standards, and contribute to long-term infrastructure development across Jind district.
