The Public Works Department (PWD) – Chief Engineer & Additional Secretary (CE & AS), along with ACE-Tonk and SE-Dausa, has invited a tender for the construction of the Soorwal to Kustala Sawai Madhopur Bypass from Km 9/690 to 14/850, including a Road Over Bridge (ROB) under Part-II. This major infrastructure project is intended to strengthen highway connectivity and ease traffic movement around the Sawai Madhopur region.
The proposed bypass section plays a crucial role in diverting through-traffic away from congested urban areas, thereby improving road safety and reducing travel delays. The inclusion of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) enhances grade separation, minimizes conflict points with railway or traffic crossings, and ensures uninterrupted vehicular movement. The project will significantly benefit commuters, freight operators, and regional transport efficiency.
The financial bid for the tender was opened on 4th October 2025 by PWD – CE & AS under the administrative control of ACE-Tonk and SE-Dausa. After evaluation of bids, M/s Murari Lal Singhal emerged as the lowest bidder, quoting the minimum value for execution of the work. The tender process reflects adherence to transparency and established procurement procedures.
The total project cost is Rs. 566,137,362, indicating a substantial investment in modern road and bridge infrastructure. Once completed, the bypass and ROB are expected to decongest Sawai Madhopur traffic, improve connectivity, and support long-term regional economic growth.
