M/s Masood Ahmed Contractor Got A Project:Resurfacing works on Nimmu-Padam-Darcha road

The Directorate General Border Roads Organisation (BRO), through HQ CE(P) Rothang (Manali), has invited a tender for vital resurfacing work on the Nimmu–Padam–Darcha (NPD) road in Ladakh. The project falls under the jurisdiction of 126 RCC and 13 BRTF, operating under Project Yojak, a key initiative for enhancing high-altitude road infrastructure in the union territory.
The resurfacing work is planned between Km 134.700 to Km 164.700, covering a total stretch of 30 km. The scope includes profiling and leveling (P L), compaction with 40 mm thick bituminous concrete (BC), application of tack coat, correction works with 50 mm thick dense bituminous macadam (DBM), and final road marking with paint to improve visibility and safety.
The financial bid was opened on 17th March 2025, under the supervision of HQ CE(P) Rothang. After competitive evaluation, M/s Masood Ahmed Contractor was declared the lowest bidder for the project.
The total estimated value of this resurfacing contract stands at ₹12,44,76,352. Once cleared for execution, this work will significantly improve road conditions on this vital strategic route, frequently used by defense forces and local commuters.
