The Public Works Department (PWD) under CE and AS, in coordination with ACE Kota, SE Jhalawar, and EE Aklera, has issued a tender for a major rural road development project in Rajasthan. The scope of the work includes the widening and strengthening of the Kalmodiya Manoharthana Rajgarh road (MDR-380). The targeted stretch spans from Chainage 38/150 to 56/450, enhancing road connectivity up to the Madhya Pradesh border.
The proposed route covers several key villages, including Patlon, Badbad, Suliya, Binda, Kamkhera, Nandera, Lhas, Lasudia, and Ranipuria, serving as a critical link for both inter-state connectivity and regional access. Upgrading this corridor is essential for facilitating smoother transportation of goods, improving emergency access, and supporting the agricultural economy of the area.
The financial bid for this project was opened on 12th May 2025. The tender attracted participation from various contractors, highlighting strong interest in infrastructure development opportunities in this region. The project reflects the state’s emphasis on strengthening its rural and border-area roads.
After evaluating the bids, M/s Heeralal Choudhary Contractor was declared the lowest bidder, qualifying to execute the work. The total value of the project is ₹22,40,71,085.7, signaling a substantial public investment in rural road enhancement.
