M/s Chopra Traders Got A Project: Widening and Strengthening of Maheshbhari Bhaisahawa Road

The Chief Engineer, Devipatan (Gonda) Zone, PWD Gonda, along with the Superintending Engineer, Gonda Circle, PWD Gonda, has invited a tender for the Widening and Strengthening of the Maheshbhari–Bhaisahawa Road. This corridor serves as an important regional link, connecting rural settlements to markets, service centres, and administrative hubs across the district. Upgrading the stretch is essential to support increasing traffic loads and enhance year-round mobility.
The project involves widening the existing carriageway, strengthening pavement layers, improving road geometry, and constructing drainage structures to ensure efficient water discharge. Additional works such as shoulder development, cross-drainage enhancement, and safety features will be incorporated to improve overall travel comfort and reduce accident risks. These improvements are aligned with PWD’s broader aim of boosting rural connectivity and infrastructure resilience.
The financial bid opening is scheduled for 24th September 2025, supervised by the Chief Engineer, Devipatan Zone, and the SE, Gonda Circle. During bid evaluation, M/s Chopra Traders emerged as the bidder with the minimum quoted value, meeting the financial criteria set for the tender process. The opening ensures transparency and compliance with standard procurement procedures.
The estimated project value stands at ₹275,149,516.4, marking a substantial investment in regional road development. Once completed, the strengthened Maheshbhari–Bhaisahawa corridor will significantly improve transportation efficiency and contribute to socio-economic growth in the area.
