The Public Works Department (PWD), through the CE & AS, ACE Ajmer, SE Deedwana, and EE Deedwana, has invited a tender for a major infrastructure project focused on enhancing road and rail connectivity in Rajasthan. The initiative involves the construction of a 4-lane Railway Over Bridge (ROB) at a key railway crossing point, which is expected to significantly reduce traffic congestion and improve commuter safety along an important regional corridor.
The project specifically targets Railway Crossing No. LC-97 located on the Jaipur–Kuchaman–Khatu–Tarnau–Nagaur Road (SH-90) at Chhoti Khatu. This location lies along the Ratangarh–Degana railway section at chainage KM 448/3-5, making it a strategic spot where road and rail traffic frequently intersect. The construction of this 4-lane ROB will streamline vehicular movement, eliminate delays caused by gate closures, and support smoother travel across Didwana-Kuchaman district.
The tender’s financial bid was opened on 6 October 2025 by the concerned PWD authorities, including CE & AS, ACE Ajmer, SE Deedwana, and EE Deedwana. The process attracted competitive participation due to the project’s scale and importance in enhancing the state’s transportation network.
Among all participants, Krishna Construction Co. emerged as the lowest bidder for the project. The total estimated value of the work stands at Rs. 44,80,00,000, representing a significant government investment to boost infrastructure, safety, and regional connectivity.
