The Road Construction Department (RCD), Jharkhand, under RCD EinC and RCD Chief Engineer Communication, invited a tender for the Improvement of Riding Quality Programme (IRQP) work of the Simdega–Rengari–Kersai–Bolba–Odisha Border Road, covering a total length of 48.21 km.
The project focuses on improving the riding quality and overall condition of the existing road corridor through pavement repairs, strengthening of damaged sections, surface improvement, drainage works, road safety measures, and other allied civil works. The project is intended to provide smoother and safer transportation while improving connectivity between Simdega and the Odisha border.
As per the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 5 June 2026 by the RCD authorities. Following evaluation of the bids submitted by participating contractors, Excel Venture Construction emerged as the bidder quoting the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 285,507,187, representing a significant investment in improving the road infrastructure of the region. Upon completion, the project is expected to enhance riding quality, reduce travel difficulties, improve connectivity, and support the movement of people and goods along the 48.21-km corridor.
