The Public Works Department (PWD) under the Bhopal Chief Engineer (CE) Bridge Zone has invited tenders for a crucial infrastructure development project in Ujjain district. The project involves the construction of three submersible bridges across the Kshipra River, aimed at improving regional connectivity and ensuring safer passage during monsoon seasons. These bridges will play a significant role in enhancing transportation links for both local residents and pilgrims visiting Ujjain.
The planned bridges include: (1) a bridge on the Mangalnath–Sidhhawat–Angareshwar route, (2) a bridge parallel to the existing pipeline from Piplinaka Chauraha to Bhairavgarh Road, and (3) a bridge parallel to the Narsing Ghat Bridge, connecting Datt Akhada to Narsing Ghat. These locations have been strategically selected to address existing traffic challenges and to reduce travel time across the river.
The financial bids for the tender were opened on 8th May 2025. Among the participants, Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon Pvt. Ltd. emerged as the lowest bidder, meeting both technical and financial requirements of the project. This positions them as the likely contractor for this important development.
