The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through its P3 Delhi Division, Regional Office Patna, and NH Division Biharsharif, has invited a tender for the maintenance of National Highway 30A. The scope of the project covers the stretch from Km 0.000 to Km 71.774, with works scheduled for the year 2024–25 under the Performance-Based Maintenance Contract (PBMC) Mode in the State of Bihar.
The PBMC approach is a specialized model where the contractor is responsible not only for executing the maintenance works but also for ensuring that the road remains in serviceable condition for the agreed period. This system shifts the focus from activity-based maintenance to performance outcomes, ensuring that NH 30A remains safe, durable, and user-friendly throughout the contract duration. Given that NH 30A plays a critical role in regional connectivity and economic activities, this project is expected to improve transport reliability, reduce vehicle operating costs, and enhance travel safety for daily commuters and freight carriers.
The financial bid for the tender was opened on 29th August 2025, where Bikash Kumar emerged as the lowest bidder (L1), making him the preferred contractor. The sanctioned project value is ₹491,956,126.8 (approximately ₹49.20 crore).
