The Public Works Road Department of Assam has floated a tender for the construction of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) on Lezai Kolakhowa Road, connecting Sessa Tiniali to Itakhuli, right at the railway level crossing No. MD-3 in Dibrugarh District. This project is set to improve road connectivity, ease traffic congestion, and boost safety, especially in an area where railway crossings often cause delays.
The financial bids for the project were opened on February 3, 2025. The lowest bid was submitted by ANUPAM NIRMAN PVT. LTD., with Abhijit Patowary representing the company, offering the most competitive proposal.
With an estimated project cost of around INR 41.70 crores (₹41,703,713.47), this ROB is expected to make daily commutes smoother, reduce wait times at the level crossing, and improve traffic flow in the region.
