The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), in coordination with P3 Delhi, RO Patna, and NH Division-Motihari, has invited a tender for a Performance-Based Maintenance Contract (PBMC). The project involves the upkeep of a stretch of National Highway 227, extending from Banjhoola (Km 0.00) to Sheohar (Km 40.00). This maintenance contract is being carried out under the supervision of the NH Division in Motihari for the financial year 2024–25.
This initiative is part of the Ministry’s continuous efforts to ensure high-quality infrastructure across the country, focusing on durability and consistent service standards. The PBMC model aims to improve efficiency in highway maintenance by linking payments with performance benchmarks. Contractors are expected to adhere to strict timelines and maintenance quality indicators throughout the contract period.
The financial bids for the tender were opened on 28th February 2025. Multiple firms participated, showcasing strong competition among infrastructure service providers. After evaluation, the lowest bid was submitted by Amber Infraproject Private Limited, emerging as the front-runner for this contract.
The total estimated value of the project stands at approximately ₹30.73 crore(30,72,54,673.40). The selected contractor will be responsible for executing and maintaining this highway stretch as per MoRTH’s stipulated guidelines.
