The Public Works Department (PWD) – Roads and Bridges, through the Bhopal CE Bridge Zone, has invited a tender for the construction of a Submersible Bridge including Approach Road across the Hiran River on Bankhedi-Kakretha Road in Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh.
The proposed project involves the construction of a submersible bridge across the Hiran River along with the required approach road. The infrastructure is planned to improve connectivity along the Bankhedi-Kakretha Road and provide a reliable crossing over the river for local vehicular movement.
The financial bid for the project was opened on 17th August 2026 by the PWD – Roads and Bridges, Bhopal CE Bridge Zone. AK SHIVHARE INFRASTRUCTURE PVT LTD quoted the minimum value for the project and emerged as the minimum-value bidder.
The total value of the project is Rs. 198,069,969.4, equivalent to approximately Rs. 19.81 crore. The construction of the submersible bridge and approach road is expected to strengthen road connectivity in Jabalpur district and improve transportation between the connected areas across the Hiran River.
