The CE-PWD (B and R), through its Construction Circle–Bathinda under the Provincial Division–Bathinda, has invited a tender for the upgradation of an important road corridor connecting NH-7 to NH-148B. The project aims to strengthen and modernize the existing BBM Road to BSBK Road stretch via Gharelli, Gharella, Balloh Chowk, Pirkot, Bhaini Chuhar, Kuttiwal Khurd, and Ghuman Khurd under the Special Assistance Financial Year 2025–26 (G-1) scheme.
This infrastructure initiative has been planned to enhance regional connectivity, facilitate smoother transportation, and support economic activities in and around Bathinda district. The scope of work includes comprehensive road upgradation along with a structured maintenance plan. As per tender conditions, the contractor will be responsible for five years of maintenance, comprising one year of Defect Liability Period followed by four years of routine maintenance to ensure durability and quality performance standards.
The financial bid for the project was officially opened on 9th January 2026 by the competent authority at the Construction Circle–Bathinda. Among the participating bidders, Vishvas Construction Company quoted the minimum value and emerged as the lowest bidder for the project.
The total sanctioned value of the project stands at ₹18 crore, marking a significant investment in regional road infrastructure development.
