The Haryana Government, through the Engineer-in-Chief, PW (B&R) Department, along with the Superintending Engineer, Karnal, and the Executive Engineer, Provincial Division, Panipat, has invited a tender for the construction of guide bunds to protect an existing high-level bridge on the Yamuna River. This bridge plays a vital role in connecting Bilaspur to Khojkipur in District Panipat, serving as a key rural and regional link between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
The project also includes the improvement of the Samalkha–Atta (Haryana)–Nagal (U.P.) road, covering a stretch from km 0.00 to km 15.213. This road passes through the revenue estates of Atta, Khojkipur, Banoli, and Nangal, supporting inter-state connectivity and providing an essential route for local communities, agricultural transport, and regional movement.
The financial bid opened on 28th October 2025, with the tender being managed by the Haryana Public Works (B&R) authorities. Several contractors participated due to the project’s strategic importance in ensuring long-term bridge safety and improving road infrastructure across the Yamuna corridor.
After evaluation of bids, Vijay Kansal Contractor emerged as the lowest bidder. The total project value is Rs. 309,921,032, reflecting a significant investment aimed at strengthening protection measures, enhancing traffic flow, and improving cross-border connectivity between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
