The Directorate General, Border Roads Organisation (BRO), through the HQ CE(P) Sampark, Jammu, has invited a tender for the Design and Construction of three major bridges, including two PSC Box Girder Bridges located at Km 115.300 (Dudhar – 120 m) and Km 100.00 (Gambhir – 100 m), along with one major Steel Superstructure Bridge at Km 97.350 (Sedka – 60 m). The project includes complete approaches, collection of hydraulic data, and sub-surface investigations (SSI). These bridges form a critical component of strategic road connectivity in the region, supporting defence logistics, disaster response, and civilian movement.
The scope of work involves detailed engineering design, hydraulic assessment, geological studies, construction of foundations, substructure and superstructure works, and the development of approach roads. The PSC box girder and steel superstructure designs are selected to withstand challenging terrain, high flood levels, and heavy vehicle load requirements typical for border and defence routes. The project aims to enhance reliability, safety, and all-weather accessibility across this vital corridor.
The financial bid opening is scheduled for 2nd September 2025, under the supervision of BRO and HQ CE(P) Sampark. During the financial evaluation, V.K. Gupta & Associates emerged as the bidder with the minimum quoted value, meeting the technical and competitive criteria set by the department.
The total project value stands at ₹204,700,000, marking a significant investment in strengthening strategic infrastructure and enhancing operational mobility in the Jammu region.
