The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through P3 Delhi, Regional Office Patna and S.P.E W.D. ARA BRPNN Ltd, has invited a tender for the construction of balanced work of a 2-lane High-Level RCC Bridge with its approaches across the River Sone. The project extends from CH 0.000 to CH 2.150 km, connecting regions of Bihar (via Panduka) and Jharkhand under the CRIF scheme through Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) mode. This bridge aims to enhance regional connectivity and create a dependable transportation link between both states.
The construction involves completing the remaining structural works, including reinforced concrete components, deck slab, approach roads, and protective works on both riverbanks. Once completed, the 2-lane bridge will help reduce travel distance, ease local movement and improve road safety for commuters, agricultural transport and inter-state trade.
The project holds strategic importance as the River Sone acts as a natural barrier to smooth connectivity in the region. The upgraded connectivity is expected to support economic activities, improve market access for rural areas and enhance logistics movement between Bihar and Jharkhand. The RCC structure will be built to withstand heavy traffic and varying climatic conditions.
The financial bid opened on 22 October 2025, where V.K. Gupta and Associates quoted the minimum value. The total project cost is ₹1,364,700,000.
