The Chief Engineer of Jhansi Zone, PWD Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with the Jhansi Circle, PWD Jhansi, has issued a tender for a major infrastructure upgrade in the Orai district. The project focuses on the widening and strengthening of the Ait–Kotra Road, classified as an Other District Road (ODR), with a total length of 14.04 kilometers.
This initiative is part of the broader state effort to improve road infrastructure in rural and semi-urban areas, ensuring better connectivity and safer travel conditions for both local residents and commercial transport. The financial bid for the project was officially opened on 14th February 2025 by the designated PWD authorities.
TOMAR BUILDERS AND CONTRACTORS PRIVATE LIMITED emerged as the lowest bidder for the project, bringing their expertise and construction capabilities to the table. The estimated value of the project stands at approximately ₹18,30,88,318.30. Once completed, the upgraded Ait–Kotra Road is expected to significantly ease transportation, boost regional mobility, and support local development in the Orai district.
