The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), through P1 Delhi, Regional Office Chandigarh, and NH Chandigarh PWD (NH Section), has invited a tender for the work of Sohna realignment of the Rewari–Sohna–Palwal Road on NH-919 (Old NH-71B) from Km 47.100 to Km 49.350 in the Sohna hilly portion of Haryana. The project is proposed to be executed on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode to ensure timely delivery and quality control.
This realignment project is strategically important as the existing stretch passes through hilly terrain, which often poses challenges related to safety, alignment geometry, and traffic movement. The proposed improvement will enhance road safety, improve riding comfort, and ensure smoother vehicular flow on this vital corridor connecting Rewari, Sohna, and Palwal. The project will also help reduce accident risks and improve long-term durability of the national highway infrastructure in the region.
The financial bid for the tender was opened on 30th October 2025 by MoRTH under the supervision of P1 Delhi, RO Chandigarh, and NH Chandigarh PWD (NH Section). Following the bid evaluation process, Suraj Construction Company emerged as the lowest bidder, quoting the minimum value for execution of the project. The tendering process was conducted in accordance with standard procurement norms to maintain transparency and competitiveness.
The total project cost is Rs. 98,927,215, reflecting a focused investment in improving national highway infrastructure in Haryana. Upon completion, the project is expected to enhance connectivity, improve travel efficiency, and support economic and transport activities in the Sohna region.
