The Medical Education and Research Department (Externally Aided Project) in association with the Assam Health Infrastructure Development and Management Society (AHIDMS) invited a tender for the design and construction of a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Nursing at Guwahati, Assam. The project is aimed at strengthening healthcare education infrastructure and enhancing the quality of nursing training in the state.
The scope of work includes comprehensive design, planning, and construction of the facility along with all civil, electrical, and mechanical services. The Centre of Excellence is expected to include academic blocks, training facilities, laboratories, administrative spaces, and other essential infrastructure required for advanced nursing education and skill development.
As per the tender details, the financial bid was opened on 16 March 2026 by the concerned authorities. After evaluation of bids submitted by participating contractors, Shree Gautam Construction Co. Ltd. emerged as the lowest bidder, quoting the minimum value for execution of the project.
The total project value stands at Rs. 1,376,590,820, indicating a major investment in healthcare and educational infrastructure. Upon completion, the Centre of Excellence will significantly enhance nursing education standards, support skill development, and strengthen the healthcare ecosystem in Assam.
