The Chief Engineer Bareilly Zone, PWD Bareilly, in collaboration with the Superintending Engineer Bareilly Circle and Executive Engineer Provincial Division, PWD Shahjahanpur, has invited a tender for a crucial road development initiative. The project involves the widening and strengthening of the Banda–Khutar Road, starting from Km 3 and extending to the Pilibhit–Basti Road via Sunasarnath, located in Shahjahanpur district.
This infrastructure project is designed to upgrade a key regional route that serves both intra-district connectivity and inter-district travel. By improving the road structure and surface quality, the initiative is expected to significantly enhance travel safety, reduce congestion, and improve the transportation of goods and services across the rural–urban interface of Shahjahanpur.
The financial bid for the tender was opened on 3rd May 2025, witnessing active participation from multiple construction firms. The positive response underscores the growing demand for improved transportation infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh’s expanding road network.
After thorough evaluation, Shakuntala Singh was declared the lowest bidder, thereby qualifying to undertake the execution of the project. The estimated project cost is ₹26,65,33,091.3, representing a substantial investment by the state in regional road improvement and long-term economic development.
